Safety Policy
How Boolby handles reports, moderation, user safety, AI review and offline safety guidance.
Last updated 7/6/2026
Safety approach
Boolby combines user controls, reporting, blocking, verification, AI-assisted moderation, human review, warnings, bans, appeals, audit logs and support tools to reduce harm.
Blocking and reporting
You can block users and report profiles or messages. Reports are confidential. The reported user is not told who reported them.
Message and profile review
Messages, profiles, photos, icebreakers and support/report text may be scanned or reviewed for safety reasons. Staff can inspect relevant message context when needed for reports, safety or support. Access should be limited to legitimate reasons and audit logged.
Moderation actions
Actions can include message block, message removal, profile field reset, warning, visibility reduction, temporary ban, permanent ban, appeal review or escalation to law enforcement where required or appropriate.
Scams and external contact
Be careful with users who push you quickly to external apps, ask for money, send suspicious links, request codes, offer investment opportunities or pressure you emotionally. Block and report suspicious behavior.
Offline meetings
Meet in public, tell someone where you are going, use your own transport, keep your phone charged, trust your instincts and leave if something feels wrong. Emergency services come first if anyone is in immediate danger.
Crisis and self-harm
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Boolby is not an emergency service. You can report concerning content after the urgent situation is handled.
Updates
Safety rules and enforcement processes can be changed at any time as the product, abuse patterns, legal obligations or risk profile changes.
